Maybe they finally got rid of this nearly useless "feature", that rarely gives you any more than generic information.

It probably signals a new feature coming v.soon Jack. My 2 cents: "who has viewed my profile" has not generated enough interest in terms of upgrading LI membership, so they are going to provide a more telling sneek-peek i.e viewer stats, direct comms and comments after viewing....

A more useful box has replaced "who has viewed my profile" ~ I like the new box that displays, "YOUR" Activity

Well it is not useless for me, and I hope it will re-appear soon with new features as well.

It's linkedin's way of making teasing you to become a paid member. The only way you can find out who visited your profile is to sign for a membership.
Cheers,
Mudassir
I AM a paid member, and I too find this very useful, but it has disappeared. So has the listing of jobs.

I found it useful too and looked at it daily. I hope it is replaced with a version that allows greater viewing.
I noticed that it had disappeared this morning, it is back now. I'm sure it was just an update or maintenance.
I find it EXTREMELY useful as I am looking for a job and I can pretty much figure out which company has viewed my profile from the information provided.

This is addressed in LinkedIn's current FAQs - they know it's a problem and are working on it. They propose the following workaround:
Steps for a temporary workaround to access your 'Who's viewed my profile?' information is listed below.
Click on the 'Jobs' tab at the top of the homepage.
Locate the section titled 'Be Found' in the upper right hand corner of the Jobs page.
Click on the large blue number next to 'The number of people who have viewed your profile'.

Thanks Joan, that is very useful, I'll mention it in the next podcast and credit you for it.
