Who Would Have Interest a large hotel complex in sicily?
I would like to know if someone is interested in achieving an investment in Sicily. The project envisages the creation of a large hotel complex on the sea in catania. Currently there is only the land of 35 (ha) owned by my clients. My customers are known Entrepreneurs of real estate. I would be interested in finding a large international group to work in partenship.

Hello Maria,

Why don't you try this site www.lonelyplanet.com (URL provided as a link), as well as check out their 'Thorntree' forum where fellow travellers write in to share their experiences and give their recommendations, with dos and donts, at destinations through out the world ?

You could even ask your question(s) and share your experiences there in the Thorntree forum, and get better and more appropriate responses, since that is an ideal and dedicated place for international travellers, whether on a tight budget or not.

I am not a part of/connected with the Lonely Planet group in any ways, I am just offering suggestions which could be of some benefit to you by increasing your options through sharing of more information.

Thanks & regards,
- Ajay Merchant.

Since your client owns/controls the land, you might start with some of the major flags to see if they might be interested. They might have a geographical hole or expansion requirements they need to fill. They would know who be the likely investors .

You could think of operators who would compliment your client's concept. It could be Ian Schraeger, Starwood (Barry Sternlicht), Four Seasons (Issadore Sharp), Ritz Carlton, Destination (Lowe Enterprises), or others. You might get them to co-invest. Depending on the available information, you might request RFP's to see whose most compatible and serious.

Marriot is involved with 3 of the above - so they might be a good initial contact. You could also call Steve Silk of Secured Capital. They could raise all necessary debt and Capital in addition to accessing the proper flags.
